We have changed our minds.

DO NOT UNICYCLE! No! Stop that right now.

Listen to what gravity is telling you. It’s saying, “just lie down”..

Obey the law of gravity. Don’t fight it. Never stand up again. Be like Grandpa Joe in that Willy Wonka movie. Stay in bed for 20 years for unknown reasons. Only get up to dance for chocolate, that’s it.

And certainly, don’t think about riding the unicycle! Don’t even think it. Those are unnatural thoughts. Think only of the boring, or else you’ll expect greatness in everything. Don’t risk such an occurrence! Do you think Grandpa Joe could go back to slothing around uselessly after flying on bubbles and seeing the chocolate land etc? Of course not.

Unicycle Hockey? In ya dreams!
Unicycle progress book? Burn it!
Unicycle progress stickers? Stick them in the bin!

Unicycling is simply too exhilarating.
Who needs such a fuss?

Yes it is true, we have changed our minds. We don’t like adventure anymore, because it only makes the other things mundane. So now, we are working hard on making sure people know NOT to unicycle. It’s too good, you see? We’re soon going to ride around the streets with sad faces on, to deter people, holding up big signs that say “NO”.

OK? If you want discovery and adventure… Make a cup of tea instead. Or, even better, don’t even do that. Life is not meant to be good. Just go to sleep and stay there, and be happy with cabbage soup.

Many have asked. Here is the answer.

Unicycling is about declaring your intent to do the seemingly impossible, and then ruddy well doing it! You tame the earth. You fly to the moon! We all know what you’re capable of..

You discover new worlds by resisting the pull of gravity – you conquer reality, that’s what you’ve always done. First you crawled, then you wobbly walked, then you ran laughing, and now you will unicycle with confidence and grace. It is only natural. It is your next great leap. Do you feel it? In your heart you know this is true.

THIS IS ALSO TRUE:
After attending 3 or 4 times, many new folks have joined the weekly Unicycle Hockey games, and they play their first gleeful matches with great success. And now.. now it is your turn. You know this to be true, and you MUST act on what you know is true (or you will wither away like that horrible fiend Grandpa Joe).

WE HAVE PLENTY OF EVIDENCE TO SAY:
anyone can learn to unicycle. And once you have learned, whole new worlds open up to you! You see heights and sights yet unseen. What are they? Exactly. You must find out. And you can only find out upon a unicycle.

When you come along this is what happens:

You get the secret tips and tricks to fast-track your learning time, you get the support (literally) to make your heroic journey.. but most importantly, you discover that unicycling isn’t as tough as the fake news would have you believe. You are already better than you think you are. Collectively, we have about 500 years of unicycling experience – and now it is yours for FREE

WHY DO WE DO IT? Once you have unicycled you will never ask that question. We do it because unicycling is the greatest! Have you ever wished to cut through the air like a fish flies through water? Now is your chance.

We believe in you. So, believe in yourself and come along, or else you are Grandpa Joe trapped in bed for no reason at all. Declare your destination! We know the way.

You finally have something to get out of bed for. How about that? Breathe a sigh of relief. This is your golden ticket moment. Get up right now, do a Broadway dance in your slippers and nightie, then get dressed and come along and discover your hidden capabilities.

Your destiny is now sealed.

Adventure – Exploration – Creativity – Fun – Laughter – Courage – Friendship – Achievement – Confidence – Community – and… HIGH ENERGY!

In the past, even little monkeys have learned to unicycle. And tiny little children too. And big monkeys and big children, and all the rest of it. There was also once talk of a dog.

You cannot say these creatures are smarter than you, or more determined. So, what do they know that you don’t?

For one thing, they are not filled with that foolish fear of trying that many people grow into.

But we do know: a failed attempt on the path to success is perfectly good and useful. Yes. But failing to attempt is perfectly wrong and useless. They say “if you don’t try you can’t fail”. That is obviously total rubbish. Giving in to fear is the definition of failure. It may not actually be the definition, but it is close enough.

It is commonly said: according to the laws of physics the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly.. but nobody has told the bumblebee. Whether this is true or not (it’s not) is beside the point. It is true in spirit – if you believe you can or if you believe you can’t.. you’re right. Or, you are what you think you are, and what you think.. you are.

This is starting to sound complicated.

But the truth is always very simple. The story you tell yourself about why you can’t do it.. is why you can’t do it. Amazing? Yes. The fear of the dragon is a bigger obstacle than the dragon itself. This is the real thing, and you know it is true. This is real life. Prowling about in your heart restlessly waiting to be unleashed is the creative and determined character of a unicyclist. And we know that unicyclists put away their fear when there is a challenge of any sort to confront.

At our Unicycle club we don’t believe each other’s self-limiting stories. If you say you can’t do something we will outright call you a liar! How about that then? Have you ever been called a rotten liar for positive purposes? Come and see what it feels like.

All we wish to say is this: if a little monkey, or a tiny child, can defeat chaos and ride around happily in the wake of the battle.. then OBVIOUSLY so can you. So:
